A good egg

This lunchtime I had a voiceover session in an advertising agency around Leicester square. I arrived early and had ten minutes to spare. On a slightly empty stomach, I thought it would help my general relaxation -and voice- to swallow a little something. That’s when I passed Le Beaujolais and remembered that this French wine bar always has hard boiled eggs on the counter! Maïté is France’s first celebrity TV chef in the 80s. and 90s Her style is a bit more rustic than Gordon Ramsey or Jamie Oliver’s. Originally from the south west, she loves all things duck, including foie gras, which she puts here in a giant hamburger. Bon appétit!

Frog eaters

So… my little English friends?… As the french playground saying goes “C’est celui qui dit, qui est!” (It’s the one who says, who is!) According to archeologist David Jacques, the people of England would have been the original frog eaters and  imported their (disgusting) tradition to France… I personally don’t mind, I tasted frog legs once and thought it was ok.
